Playing the blame game is an extremely well written article that points out the attacks video games come under these days. It's worth checking out. |

| What Do You Have To Say? - Ten Years From Now... |
[Jan. 6th, 2008|01:24 am] |
I barely know where I'm going to be in 10 weeks, well 16 weeks actually, much less 10 years. I'll be 30. I definitely won't have a normal 9-5 desk job, because that would probably make me kill myself. |

Although today was the end of reading break, it was an excellent day, both Crysis and EverQuest2: Rise of Kunark were available today, so naturally I picked both of them up, having pre-ordered them. |

Wow, the newest star trek movie's (not due out until 2009) cast includes John Cho and Simon Pegg! I'm almost as excited for it as I am for Star Trek Online, the upcoming Star Trek MMORPG. |

I think I might have a new favorite webcomic. It's called "DM of the Rings." I think the jokes are pretty good, and I like the media the author uses, but the best part is the DMing comments he makes at the end of most strips that relate to a joke in the strip and are a joke in and of themselves, such as:
"When it comes to giving things to the players versus making them “earn” them:
Give a player a fish, and he’ll probably try to sell it to an NPC fisherman.
Teach a player to fish, and next week he’ll show up with the book, “The Complete Adventuring Fisherman”. He’ll start hunting for some monstrous leviathan to catch and enslave, and he’ll be dual-wielding two fishing poles." |

52 AC w/o hacks! Here's how
Level 20 Knight (PHB2) 16 Dex
Base AC - 10 Dexterity Bous - 3 +5 Mithral Full Plate - 13 +5 Large Steel Shield - 7 +5 Amulet of Natural Armor - 5 +5 Ring of Protection - 5 +5 Defending weapon - 5 Dodge Bonus (Feat) - 1 Shield Block (Class Ability) - 3 Total: 52
The AC increasing Ioun Stone won't make any difference, it's a deflection bonus, same as the ring of protection, so they don't stack.
If you get the full plate with the Heavy Fortification enhancement (+5 market price) then you are not susceptible to critical hits, sneak attacks, etc. |

Alas, Capezio does not make gray footless tights, although I guess that makes sense, I mean I would have to wear gray socks with them. Meh, I'm going shopping for dancewear on Tuesday. I haven't been dancewear shopping in like 3 years.
In other news, I made it to level 70 today in EverQuest 2. This is most exciting for me. |

More than two years ago, I took this quiz, it can be seen in a previous entry. I thought it would be fun to take it again, see if anything had changed.
 | You scored as Romanticist, Romanticism encourages society to look backwards to find our solutions. Your rationale is that things were much better a few hundred years ago so we should thus look back to those times and replace them in our modern society. You believe in a simple life and that the complexities of the modern world have turned it upside down.

Okay, so the overall score is the same, but the subcategories are far different. Hrmm. Interesting.
I have just finished reading all of the LiveJournal posts I ever made in my "Thaedris" journal. Some of them I remember, some of them I don't, some of them I don't know what the hell I was talking about.
I am now going to go read my "Balletrocks" journal.
This was a most interesting experience, reading through all my LiveJournal entries, dealing with having crushes on so many different people, battling depressing, watching various interests rise and fall dramatically. It is now 4:10, I started this entry at 2:20. I will now go to bed, and give an actual update later. |

Your Score: House Targaryen 72% Dominant, 63% Extroverted, 81% Trustworthy Ancient. Noble. Passionate to the point of insanity. Transcending lesser beings, you are of House Targaryen.
You are a dominant personality—in fact, you are the most dominant of all eight house types. You will not suffer yourself to be ignored. You will not suffer yourself to be ruled. The phrase "I will not suffer myself to _____!" was practically made for you. You are willful, arrogant, and exceedingly dangerous to screw with. With a temper like yours, anyone stupid enough to saunter into your line of fire won’t soon forget their mistake.
You are also extroverted, which means that everyone in the world knows exactly what your intentions are. Unlike your cohorts (who hide behind smiles and courtesies and court politics), you think of it as your birthright to come riding in on an enormous dragon, breathing fire and fucking your siblings. Hey, what you lack in subtlty, you make up in style!
Finally, you are trustworthy. Your absurd amounts of power and borderline psychosis are not used unjustly. Unlike many, your general aims are just and true. You we bred for rule, and the fact that you cannot rest until you are doing so is not your fault. If you make up your mind, it becomes reality. Never one for empty threats or vainglorious lies, you can only speak the truth. And the truth is "fire and blood."
Representative characters include: Daenerys Stormborn, Rhaegar Targaryen, and Viserys Targaryen
Similar Houses: Baratheon, Lannister,and Tully
Opposite House: Frey
When playing the game of thrones, you play it to the death.

What's this?! I actually drink LESS at college?! So far at any rate that's been the trend of things. I find it interesting that the one who buys all the alcohol for my dorm-mates doesn't drink any of it, I have a beer a day, in my mug, while watching a movie or playing eq2 or something. I find this interesting, and all together kind of cool. |

We all know stereotyping is generally a bad thing, but whatever. Having done some pondering recently I am unable to develop a stereotype for people who use facebook. Everyone on LiveJournal is manic-depressive and everyone on MySpace is horny and/or emo. But I really just can't come up with one for facebook. Any ideas? |
